Speaking at a church service in Kiambu County on Sunday, Gachagua urged congregants to pray for President William Ruto and highlighted the challenges faced by the country under his administration.

Recently impeached, Gachagua has since been replaced by Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki, pending court approval for Kindiki’s swearing-in.
Gachagua encouraged Kenyans to remain peaceful while calling for divine guidance for Ruto to address the economic hardships and healthcare issues that have left citizens feeling "helpless."

This plea for prayer and support came a week after Gachagua accused the President of betrayal, describing Ruto’s actions as “vicious.” Following his release from the hospital, where he was admitted as Parliament voted for his removal, Gachagua shared his shock over Ruto's alleged betrayal, mentioning his contributions to the President's success.
He further claimed that Ruto should be accountable should any harm befall him or his family.
While President Ruto has not directly addressed Gachagua's allegations, he emphasized unity. During a church service in Moiben, Uasin Gishu County, he discouraged divisive politics, urging leaders to focus on the people's welfare.
Meanwhile, Kithure Kindiki's ascension to the Deputy President role faces delays. Court orders halt his swearing-in until the conclusion of legal proceedings challenging Gachagua’s impeachment.
Recently, the High Court declined a petition to have three judges step aside from the case, citing constitutional guidelines on impartiality and recusal. The court will continue to assess whether the applications filed meet the legal criteria for bias or conflict.
