NARC Kenya party leader Martha Karua has raised concerns over the existence of a special kidnapping squad sanctioned by the government to repress freedom of expression and human rights.
According to Karua, the team is instructed to quiet anyone who frequently criticizes President William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza administration.
The head of NARC Kenya cautions that the formation of such groups is uncalled for and states that elected authorities must uphold the constitution.
“We have reliable information that there is an abduction squad that has been put in place...it comprises members of the police service and is housed in Karen, next to the deputy president's residence,” Karua said on Sunday.
