A Kenyan delegation will attend the 12th World Urban Forum, set to begin on Monday in Cairo, Egypt. The group, led by Oyugis Municipality Manager James Agumba, will join leaders from medium-sized cities worldwide to exchange ideas on urban development. Agumba stated that the Kenyan delegation plans to leverage the forum's networking opportunities to attract potential investors to local municipalities, focusing on key areas for growth.
"This trip will benefit not only Oyugis but also Homa Bay County as a whole. My goal is to encourage global investors to visit Oyugis and help drive development," he said.
The event, organized by UN-Habitat, will run until November 8, covering a range of topics, including climate change resilience and strategies for mitigation and adaptation.
