On November 4, 2024, Engonga became the subject of widespread attention across Africa as a series of leaked videos surfaced online. Authorities in Equatorial Guinea have stated that he will undergo testing for sexually transmitted diseases to verify his health status.
Baltasar Ebang Engonga, full name Baltasar Ebang Engonga, serves as the Director General of Equatorial Guinea’s National Financial Investigation Agency (ANIF).
In his role, Engonga oversees financial investigations and leads initiatives to combat financial corruption within the country. He is married and has six children.
In November, over 300 explicit videos involving Equatorial Guinea's financial crime chief, Baltasar Engonga, were leaked online.
During an investigation into alleged fraud, authorities recovered recordings of Engonga with various women, including married women, some reportedly connected to his family and political circle, such as his brother's wife and the wife of the presidential security head. These encounters reportedly took place in his office, hotels, and restrooms, with all parties consenting to the recordings.
Initially arrested on corruption charges, Engonga's explicit videos were discovered on his computer during the investigation and subsequently leaked to the public.
