The government has instructed health authorities to investigate the staff at Body by Design clinic following a fatal plastic surgery incident that claimed the life of Lucy Wambui.
Health Principal Secretary Mary Muthoni issued a statement directing the Kenya Health Professional Oversight Authority (KHPOA) to evaluate all similar cosmetic surgery clinics to ensure they meet health standards and prevent future tragedies.
The KHPOA has been tasked with conducting a thorough investigation of these facilities, and a comprehensive report is expected within 30 days.
The statement emphasized the need for clinics to comply with established health regulations to maintain their operations.
