Police officers in Mombasa have arrested a Rwandan man suspected of receiving stolen mobile phones.

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) stated they apprehended Ndaziziye Augustin Umurundi at his home following intelligence information.

"A thorough search of the premises uncovered a trove of ten mobile phones and a power bank, all believed to be pilfered," the police said.

"Among the recovered devices, detectives successfully identified three phones and linked them to their rightful owners."

Detectives said they are examining the other devices to identify their owners while Ndaziziye remains in detention awaiting arraignment.
