The Kenya Tea Development Agency Holdings (KTDA) has completed the implementation of Systems, Application, and Products (SAP) software across its 71 managed tea factories in the country.

According to KTDA Management Services Managing Director Collins Bett, The rollout, which began in 2016, integrates green leaf management, factory processing, and logistics.

He said the SAP system will also streamline human resources, finance, sales, and marketing operations, enhancing efficiency and data-driven decision-making.

“This achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and collaboration of all stakeholders involved.”

He commended the project team for their commitment to advancing KTDA’s digital transformation.

The SAP software, a leading enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, consolidates all business functions within a single database, enabling real-time data entry, better reporting, and faster access to data for improved decision-making.

By integrating these processes, KTDA aims to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen data security, and expedite payments to over 700,000 tea growers nationwide.

KTDA Management Services oversees extension services, processing, logistics, marketing, accounting, and warehousing for its extensive network of smallholder tea farmers.
