Kenya's Education Cabinet Secretary, Julius Migos, has assured that cheating cases in the ongoing Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams will be dealt with case-by-case rather than penalizing entire schools.
Speaking from the Lang'ata Sub-County Headquarters on Monday, Migos stated that the Ministry will focus on the individuals involved in malpractice to protect students and institutions from unfair repercussions.
"We will make sure that anyone found interfering with exams, as seen in recent incidents like the one in Homa Bay, will be held accountable," Migos said.

This comment referred to an incident where ten teachers from Pala Masogo Secondary School were each placed on a Ksh. 2 million bond after being charged with examination malpractice for allegedly photocopying the KCSE Chemistry paper on November 6.
Migos highlighted that authorities have apprehended a group that scammed parents on social media by exploiting exam-related concerns.
These individuals are now set to face legal action. The CS also called on security personnel across examination centers to stay vigilant and prevent further breaches in exam integrity.
