Safaricom, in partnership with Royal Media Services, is on a countrywide tour celebrating its 24 years of service. Now on its fourth day, the ‘Safaricom Share the Joy’ caravan visited Kericho and Nandi counties, stopping at locations like Kipsitet, Nandi Hills, Kapsabet, Mosoriot, and Kapsere to spread holiday cheer and reward Kenyans.
The tour also aims to raise awareness about phone insurance, encouraging Kenyans to protect their devices against theft or damage. During the tour, Chief Financial Services Officer Esther Waititu highlighted Safaricom's new service, which allows customers to insure their phones through M-Pesa. "If your phone is lost or its screen is damaged, we now have you covered," she said.

Kenyans were also reminded to safeguard their personal data when using M-Pesa. “Your PIN is private. Please do not share it with anyone. It’s your security,” Ms. Waititu advised.
Safaricom Business Manager Melchizedek Munyongi cautioned customers to beware of fraudulent calls, noting that legitimate Safaricom communications will not come from personal numbers. As the tour enters its final stretch for the first week, the caravan will travel through Langas, Chepkoilel, Ziwa, Soi, Maili Tisa, and Maili Nne, concluding in Eldoret Town.
