Detectives investigating a reported kidnapping incident have uncovered a surprising twist, revealing it was a case of a complicated love triangle.

According to a police report, Brian Andore reported to the Kitsuru Police Station on November 9 that his wife had been abducted by individuals who lured her with a fake job offer. He later received a demand for Ksh.150,000 in ransom from an unknown phone number, prompting police intervention.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations' (DCI) Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau (CRIB), alongside Operations teams, launched an investigation. On November 13, they arrested a suspect, Chiranzi Tsuma Mbaru, believed to be linked to the ransom demands. However, further interrogation revealed the kidnapping claim was false.

The investigation led officers to Oldonyo Orok in Narok South on November 16, where the woman's phone number was last traced. There, they found her living at the home of her other husband, George Odada, along with her two daughters.

Preliminary findings confirmed the case was not a kidnapping but rather an estranged love triangle. Both Odada and the woman were taken to Nairobi for further questioning.
