A Narok Court has arraigned a suspected serial killer linked to multiple murders in the Ololulunga area of Narok South Constituency and its outskirts.
The accused, Musa Ole Sopia, also known as Ololunga, refused to enter a plea when he appeared before Resident Magistrate Daniel Ngayo, who ordered a mental health evaluation to determine his fitness to stand trial.
Magistrate Ngayo ordered that the suspect be taken to a hospital for a mental evaluation and remanded in Narok Prison until November 26, 2024, when he is scheduled to appear in court again.
Ole Sopia was arrested on October 30, 2024, at the Ololulunga shopping center for the murder of a 55-year-old Congolese man.
His arrest came amid growing concern among Narok residents about an increase in murder cases reported in September and October.
