The tragic deaths of Angela Moraa, a U.S.-based mother of one, and her Kisii-based boyfriend, Dr. Vincent Bosire, have left Kenyans in shock.
The two were found lifeless in a rental house in Nyamataro, Kisii Township, on November 27, 2024, with their hands entwined. An autopsy confirmed that Moraa, 28, died from blunt force trauma, suggesting she endured severe torture before succumbing to her injuries.
According to her family, Moraa’s skull was fractured, and she had multiple injuries from her knees upward. Edward Omuoyo, the family spokesperson, revealed that they had previously reported threats against Moraa to the Keroka DCI, alleging she was being stalked by a hitman. Despite these warnings, little action was taken, and the family’s fears were tragically realized when Moraa disappeared and was later found dead.
The crime scene was reportedly littered with used and unused syringes. Investigations into whether the deaths were a case of suicide or femicide are ongoing.
Moraa’s family eulogized her as a hardworking and ambitious woman who had moved to the U.S. after completing her KCSE to provide a better life for her son. Mourners at her burial in Kitutu Masaba expressed their grief and appealed for support for her child’s education.

Meanwhile, Dr. Bosire was remembered at his burial in Kenyerere as a calm and accomplished medical professional who worked at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital.
While Dr. Bosire’s family suggested that Moraa may have previously attempted suicide, her family strongly disputes this claim.
