Seven people tragically lost their lives on Monday morning in two related road accidents involving six vehicles and a motorcycle along the Narok-Mai Mahiu Road.

According to police reports, the first accident occurred around 10 a.m. when a trailer traveling from Narok to Mai Mahiu suffered a tire burst, causing the driver to lose control. The out-of-control trailer collided with a Toyota Premio, an ENA Coach bus, and a Narok-Line Matatu, forcing the vehicles to veer off the road. Sadly, three passengers in the matatu were killed instantly.

Shortly after, a second speeding trailer heading towards Narok crashed into a Toyota Prado while attempting to navigate past the initial accident scene. The collision resulted in the deaths of two Prado occupants at the scene, while a third succumbed to injuries later at the Narok County Referral Hospital.

The same trailer also struck a motorcycle, killing two pillion passengers instantly.

"A total of two Prado occupants died on the spot, and a third passed away at the Narok County Referral Hospital. The second trailer also hit a motorcycle, resulting in the deaths of two pillion passengers instantly," stated the police report.

The bodies of the deceased have been moved to the Narok County Referral Hospital mortuary for storage and identification. Meanwhile, several injured survivors are receiving treatment at nearby medical facilities.

The wreckages of the six vehicles and the motorcycle have been towed to Ntulele Police Station for further investigation and inspection.
