Kenyans paid tribute to Rachel Otuoma as a devoted wife who supported her husband, Ezekiel, during her burial on January 11. However, a video has since surfaced showing the TikToker resuming her role as a company spokesperson.
The clip sparked mixed reactions among netizens after Rachel was welcomed back to work with flowers and celebrated with champagne alongside her colleagues. Returning as a brand ambassador for a furniture company, she received a warm reception from the team.
On January 11, the celebrated football player was laid to rest at his home in Gem, where his wife paid tribute to him as a loving husband who cherished her deeply.
However, the widowed woman can be seen popping champagne while surrounded by furniture store employees in a video posted on TikTok by @thesmartgirltrends.
She requested everyone to get a cup so they could all cheer together, even though she was told it was all hers to drink after she splashed it.
In a another video, Rachel is seen reading a card with heartfelt remarks in her honor while clutching red roses. She also presented the company's owner, whom she called her boss.
"Welcome back," she replied as she read the card. The highlight of our day was when you walked through the door.
We all adore you despite everything you've been through. Welcome back, then. I appreciate you all inviting me back, and we are prepared to collaborate as a team.
Here are a few remarks made by people on social media: @Meisy Black remarked: "Rachel, keep winning." According to @User94509282359, "Haki Rachel kaa mpole hata 40 days ziishe."
"Nashangaa kwani mnataka Rachel akae kwa nyumba akido?" @IryneJimmy stated. To heal, si muache tu afurahi. It was stated by @Forever: "40 days zimeisha kweli wenzangu."
"Mwenye alikufa ashakufa hawezi rudi tena," stated @Ashiali. How many people do you think we can get in 40 days? Muokoke tokeni kwa mila. As stated by @Mamake Happy: "Lazima maisha iendelee, na pete atatoa apende asipende."
