Two people lost their lives early Tuesday morning in a tragic road accident involving a matatu at Sobea, Nakuru County.
The crash, which occurred when a matatu belonging to Ena Coach collided with the rear of a cargo truck, also left eight passengers seriously injured. Emergency responders rushed the injured victims to Nakuru Provincial Hospital for medical treatment.
Rachael Maru, a disaster response officer at the scene, confirmed the fatalities and stated that the victims' bodies were transferred to the morgue.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident as efforts to enhance road safety continue.
