Renowned car dealer and X platform influencer Khalif Kairo has broken his silence about his time in remand following his re-arrest in March. Speaking just days after his release, Kairo opened up about the emotional and psychological toll of the experience, while also expressing gratitude for being out and back to work.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, Kairo was seen chatting with Nairobi County’s Chief Officer for Environment, Geoffrey Mosiria, during a chance encounter over tea. Mosiria recounted asking Kairo about prison life, to which Kairo candidly responded:
"It was very tough. I mean, it has been very tough. It has been a little hard. But we thank God, He has been very faithful. We managed. I have seen very bad things, but you know God is continuing to restore, and we are back to work."

Mosiria’s Advice to Kairo
During their conversation, Mosiria offered Kairo advice as he starts afresh. He encouraged the businessman to live a more private life and steer clear of distractions, particularly relationships, which he warned could derail his progress.
He also urged Kenyans to support Kairo’s business, describing him as a genuine and hardworking individual who deserves a second chance.
