At least twenty-one families in a village in Isiolo county have been left homeless after a daytime fire razed their properties to ashes.
Residents of bulawaso village claim that the fire broke out around noon, starting in one of the houses and quickly spreading to neighbouring houses and adding that they made frantic calls to County fire department personnel who did not respond to their pleas.
The villagers could not save anything from their houses and would have to spend the nights in the cold without food because the fire consumed everything.
a Bulapesa youth leader, Patrick Muniaru, chastised the County Leadership for failing to address relevant challenges that stymie response to disasters such as fires, with the County Fire Engine failing to assist on numerous occasions.

In the absence of the firefighters, Joseph Mwenda, a resident of Bulawaso village, slammed the Isiolo County Leaders and the Isiolo Water and Sanitation Company for the lack of adequate water supply locals would have used to put out the fire.
Residents of bulawaso village are now urging County Governor Abdi Guyo to find a quick solution to the problems plaguing the County Fire Department, as fire engine operators fail to show up with flimsy excuses that the engine lacks water.
In other news, the death toll in Turkey and Syria has reached 36000. Turkey currently has the highest number of deaths, but the numbers in Syria could be higher. Rescue efforts are limited and are hindered by the ongoing war that has made it difficult for equipment to reach those in need.
