Marianne Kitany, an Aldai Member of Parliament, has been evicted from the runda home she once shared with her now ex-husband Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi.

Moses Kurgat, the advocate for the aldai mp, said that individuals sent by the agriculture cs stormed the house in the middle of the night, kicking her out. According to Kurgat, this happened even after they had obtained a new court order signed by Magistrate Wendy Micheni on Wednesday prohibiting Ms Kitany's eviction from the property. Estranged ex-lovers both claim ownership of the home.

Last week, a court-approved Linturi's request to have keitany kicked out of the house, but the advocate says that the new court order they got prevented the eviction and auctioning from happening.

Officers overseeing the eviction, according to Advocate Kurgat, have since hounded out teams from both Linturi and Kitany's sides from home until early hours when they say they can authenticate the validity of the new court order.

The two ex-lovers have been embroiled in a protracted legal battle over property division and the legality of their marriage. The eviction order comes months after the appeals court threw out the kaitanys case, and she was seeking an order to block the agriculture cs from evicting her from the home they shared.

A statement released by the judges during the ruling notes, "The applicant has failed to demonstrate the twin limbs for consideration in an application because the applicant must establish both the arguability and the nugatory aspects. As a result, the application dated February 10, 2022, is without merit and is currently dismissed with costs."

Keithany criticized the judges, claiming that she spent kshs 71 million on the property's construction and furnishing while Linturi contributed nothing.

According to Keitany, her ex-husband previously used the property as collateral for a loan without her permission. There is a risk that he will alienate, sell, or continue to use the property as security for a loan.
