It is good news for long-distance lovers who go for an extended period without seeing their partners and crave intimacy, as this new device allows them to smooch over the internet.
The device has caused a buzz on Chinese social media platforms, and the users are intrigued and confused by the device advertised as a way for long-distance couples to experience real intimacy.
The device is equipped with pressure sensors and actuators and can mimic a real kiss by replicating a user's lips' pressure, movement and temperature. The device allows for kissing motion as well as transmitting the sound the user makes.
Some users called the device creepy and vulgar and were concerned that minors might be able to buy and use it. The device's launch is making headlines on Chinese social platforms such as Weibo and WeChat.

how to use it
to be able to use the smooching device, you will have to download a mobile phone app and then plug the device into your phone's charging port. After pairing with their partners in the app, couples can start a video call and transmit replicas of their smooches to each other.
The smooching device has been patented by the Changzhou Vocational Institute of Mechatronic Technology.
"In my university, I was in a long distance relationship with my girlfriend so we only had contact with each other through the phone. That's where the inspiration of this device originated," Jiang Zhongli, the leading inventor of the design, was cited as saying by the Global Times.
While the Chinese device is marketed for long-distance relationships, the app's "kissing square" function lets people pair up anonymously online with strangers. If two strangers successfully match and like each other, they can request to kiss. Users can also "upload" their smooches to the mobile app for others to download and enjoy.
