The African Ombudsman and Mediators' Association (AOMA) gave the commission a professional award on Wednesday, which noted that the Wafula Chebukati-led committee was not nonpartisan during the entire process.

When she gave the IEBC CEO Hussein Marjan the Election Monitoring Report, AOMA Secretary General Florence Kajuju praised the commission for holding the elections per the applicable electoral rules.

The IEBC officers carried out their duties transparently, objectively, and impartially, according to the Mission. According to the association, authorized agents and observers were permitted access to the polling locations and tallying facilities.

The Africa Ombudsman and Mediators' Association and the Commission of Administrative Justice-Kenya prepared the report on the 2022 General Election (AOMA).

The AOMA reported that all election-related procedures were carried out openly in front of representatives from various political parties, the media, and observers.

Despite pointing out several contentious topics, the association also claimed that the candidates who competed for various seats and their supporters accepted the outcomes.

The group also observed that some contenders congratulated their competitors after the results were announced. According to the AOMA observation mission, some disappointed candidates pleaded to their supporters to maintain calm while utilizing the legal post-election dispute channels.

This occurs as Raila Odinga, the leader of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition, accuses the IEBC of thwarting the people's will during the elections that resulted in the election of William Ruto as Kenya's fifth president.

Odinga contested President Ruto's victory before the Supreme Court, but the court upheld the IEBC's ruling.
