Raila Odinga, the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya leader, has received support from his Orange Democratic Party for his call for mass action.
The party's leaders from 35 counties met with their party leader in Nairobi on Friday and endorsed Azimio's Mass Action plan, which is set to be implemented next week Wednesday, saying the mass action addresses critical issues concerning Kenyans like the high cost of living.
"We are ready for Mass Action even now because Kenyans are suffering. We will stage it in all our 47 counties but the major one will be in Nairobi," said Philip Makabong'o, the secretary general of the ODM chairperson's caucus.
"We also call for the immediate opening of the servers that will trigger electoral reforms", he added.

The ODM County caucus demanded that rebel MPs who visited President William Ruto at the State House in mid-February be removed from the party.
"We call upon NEC and all organs concerned to expedite the de-registration process of ODM members who visited State House. We remain loyal to our party leader," said Makabong'o.
The mps who attended the meeting with the deputy president include Phelix Odiwuor (Langata), Caroli Omondi (Suba South), Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), Mark Nyamita (Uriri), Elisha Odhiambo (Gem), Paul Abuor (Rongo), and Kisumu Senator Professor Tom Ojienda are among the MPs.
Early February saw the removal of bondo member of parliament Gideon ochanda from his position as the secretary of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), Bondo sub-branch. in an earlier interview, the mp said that he did not commit any mistake by visiting ruto at the state house.
During a meeting presided over by Siaya senator Dr Oburu Oginga, the executive branch committee participants met at the ODM offices in Bondo. They decided to expel Ochanda from the party, and his parliamentary sponsorship was withdrawn.
