Azimio leaders, led by NARC Kenya leader Martha Karua and Wiper Party's Kalonzo Musyoka, sustained their claims that their victory was stolen during the 2022 general elections and that the new IEBC appointment panel is a ploy to install a commission that will favour kenya kwanza in the coming elections.

NARC Kenya leader castigated the Kenya Kwanza administration for the high cost of living and taxes. "Umeondoa pesa ya chakula, umeondoa ya mafuta, umeondoa ya elimu na hata deni ya Kenya hujalipa. Kenya has defaulted for the first time. Pesa ulipeleka wapi?" she said.

Karua and wiper leader Kalonzo said that the coalition's position is that the General Election last year was not credible. They objected to President Ruto's appointment of the selection panel to recruit nominees for appointment as chairperson and members of the IEBC.

“Bunge, upande ya azimio-one kenya nawashukuru because wameapisha tayari panel ya kutafuta chebukati wengine saba. Yaani tutoke kwa Chebukati mmoja, tende kwa saba,” Musyoka said.

The azimio la Umoja coalition leaders, who attended a church service in Kithyoko, Machakos County, said the coalition plans to lead supporters to the State House to present a petition on rapidly increasing commodity prices is still in place.

“Mimi nasema tumeona mambo mengi ikienda vibaya, na hatutakubali kamwe. tumejitolea na tuko tayari kulipa gharama kama Wanakenya,” Karua said.

Azimio La Umoja coalition leader Raila Odinga, on the other hand, asked their supporters to prepare for a mass action with only four days remaining to the 14-day ultimatum he had given to the kenya kwanza administration.

The former prime minister has stated that he will not resign and that the Kenya Kwanza regime is in power illegally. Odinga reaffirmed that the whistleblower's data claiming Azimio won the elections are accurate and that the Kenya Kwanza regime must be removed from power.

Raila Odinga also used the occasion to promote unity in the luo community, imploring them to do so to fulfil the late Ker Otondi's needs and desires.
