Maxine Wahome, a rally driver accused of killing her boyfriend and rally driver asad khan has pleaded not guilty to the murder charges.
In her affidavit, the accused, who appeared in court virtually, says that the rally driver inflicted the injuries he suffered on himself. While narrating the events of that fateful day on 12 2022, maxine said the DCI arrested her at Preston Court, where she resided with her late boyfriend, Asad Khan.
According to maxine wahome, the late asad khan woke her up violently in the morning, ordering her to vacate his premises. wahome says that she rushed to the balcony to take refuge when the deceased tried to break the door down to reach her.
"That the deceased thereafter injured himself on the balcony door window panes and took himself to the hospital... That I was advised by my parents not to leave by the house and wait for the police," she claims.

Maxine's wahome asked the court to release her on bail, promising to cooperate in the investigations and that she will not tamper with witnesses in the case. Through her lawyer, murgor, maxine said that she would attend all court sessions without fail.
"That I have been out on bail since 13th December 2022 and at no time has there been any threat to peace, security and my own safety either by the family of the Deceased and or any member of the public," she argued.
In an earlier interview Mr Murgor, the lawyer to the accused, stated that after reviewing all of the evidence in the case, he still does not comprehend why Maxine, his client, was charged with the killing of her boyfriend but added that he would not discuss the case's merits or demerits at this time.
"I have been engaged to lead in the defense of Maxine now that a very surprising charge of murder has been proffered against her. I have reviewed the facts that are in the knowledge of the family and all her friends and from where I stand, I can say with absolute confidence that Maxine is innocent," he said.
