Nixon Korir is a Kenyan politician and is currently the nominated principal secretary for State Department for Lands and Physical Planning in Kenya.

Under cross-examination in Parliament, Korir said he followed a family from the Westlands Estate in Nairobi who were forcibly evicted from their home and then destroyed.

He said: “This is an ongoing case and it seems unfair,”

The former congressman said that if approved, he would work with the DCI and other agencies to investigate those subpoenaed in connection with the illegal land issue.

“I will put them on trial,” he said.

The family was evicted from their home on School Lane in Westland by an auctioneer on 8 November. The family stated that they received a court order dated November 1, 2022 and a notice from the Nairobi district that they could not be evicted.


KHRC and Asia Forum said the family had lived in the building for over 40 years and had valid lease documents that were renewed in 1998 for another 50 years.

They said a private company called Lariak Properties said it bought the property from Metro Pharmaceuticals in 2010, raising pertinent questions about how one property was transferred to another with a valid title deed.
