Heavy police presence was witnessed in Nairobi's Mathare area as azimio supporters are expected to take to the streets for the second time.

Many businesses in the area have remained closed for the second Monday for fear of their property being burned, robbed and destroyed. this is despite the call by the inspector general of police for all businesses to open and operate as usual.

The main march is expected to occur in Nairobi, and Azimio leaders Raila Odinga, Martha Karua, and other influential supporters are expected to join protestors in outlining their demands.
'The police force is prepared and equipped to maintain law and order,' Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome warned protesters on Monday.
Speaking to the press on Sunday ahead of the arrival of protesters led by Raila Odinga of Azimio One Kenya on Monday, the IG vowed to keep the country calm.
