Residents of Kisumu intend to disregard Governor Anyang Nyong'o's order to stop Thursday's Azimio protests in the lakeside city.
The locals charged Nyong'o with bolstering the Coalition's operations to cease protests intended to address the expense of living arbitrarily.
A resident named Kennedy Ochieng stated that Thursday would continue to be a picket day and that there is no way the locals would rely on Nyong'o to inform them of party activities once those structures are in place.

"Demonstrations were requested by Raila Odinga, and he was clear that they were to take place throughout the country. Why, then, is Nyong'o canceling them in Kisumu?" He queried.
Ochieng advises ignoring Nyong'o's request until and unless Raila, who called for the ongoing protests, decides to end them.
He claims that in his capacity as the region of Nyanza's previous student leaders, he will see to it that a peaceful protest is scheduled to pressure the government to address the problems plaguing the nation.
A university student named Joseph Mbaka joined him in rejecting the suspension and labelling Nyong'o, an outsider, in topics relating to Azimio.
Mbaka declared, "Governor Nyong'o has no authority to halt demonstrations, so we will disobey him and picket".
Mbaka stated that they wouldn't be protesting just for the sake of it but rather to pressure the administration to consider the populace's needs.
He said, "Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) has not delivered funding for our students, and the cost of living is soaring again. These factors will drive us to the streets to demand immediate repairs".
George Okana, an Obunga resident, claims that unless Raila confirms what Governor Nyong'o has said, people will go out on the streets.
Okana says the demonstration will only take place in Nairobi while it is cancelled in Kisumu.
He remarked, "These are nonviolent protests; don't tell us to go to Nairobi; let Nyong'o deal with hooligans in his county."
Nyong'o suspended all forms of protest in Kisumu in a circular sent on Wednesday.
He claims that the Azimio Coalition was consulted before making the decision.
When a property is damaged during protests, Nyong'o is always upset. On Monday, she led the protest outside the city against the protesters' wishes.
