During the Azimio anti-government protest on Thursday evening, the Jamia Supermarket in Kisumu was looted, and the property was destroyed.
At the Aga Khan roundabout, the supermarket is located next to Jua Kali.
The supermarket was stormed by a group of people who looted almost everything before abandoning some of the items.
The proprietor, Hussein Hassan, questioned what he had done to the protesters to warrant such a deed.

Hassan claimed to have misplaced items worth millions of shillings.
"What have I done to deserve such annihilation? What is the public's issue with me? "He inquired.
"I have a family and people to look after, and I don't know where to begin."
Spare parts were engulfed in flames in the shops at Jua Kali, even as firefighters attempted to extinguish the blaze.
The stores sold automobile and bicycle spare parts.
