The investigations into an officer who was seen on camera bashing and damaging the Azimio media van during a demonstration on Thursday are ongoing, as per the Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome.
If proven guilty, the officer, according to Koome, will go to jail just like any other Kenyan who committed a crime.
The Azimio team's van always hosts the mainstream media during the demonstration coverage.
Koome also expressed regret to reporters hurt by police while covering protests, claiming the injuries were unintentional rather than purposeful.
