The sheep that were taken on March 27, 2023, during a raid on the Northlands farm in Ruiru, Kiambu County, have been returned. Sources claim that two Nairobi politicians' aides in cars drove up close to the farm and dumped 18 sheep there.

However, the farm manager states that the sheep are in poor condition. Days after local elders threatened to curse a gang of goons who invaded the Kenyatta family land, unknown individuals started dumping the expensive Dorper sheep close to the farm.

Five of the returned sheep were found abandoned at Dandora police station and identified using special markings before being returned to the farm. The farm's security manager, Patrick Masinde, confirmed the return of the animals and urged those holding the remaining stock to return them peacefully.

Masinde suspects that the publication of photos in the press showing the raiders carrying the sheep may have prompted their return. The farm has also been the site of an upcoming tree-planting event led by Jubilee Party Secretary-General Jeremiah Kioni, who plans to donate sheep and goats to the Kenyatta family in solidarity after the raid.

Some of the sheep stolen when a gang stormed Northlands farm in Ruiru, Kiambu County, on March 27, 2023, and carted away animals and trees have been returned.
