President William Ruto has urged the opposition to stop talking about elections and start promoting the needs of the people.

President Ruto argued that it was unfair for politicians to continue to bring up election- and leader-related concerns after elections.

According to the president, Kenyans decided through a democratic process and are anxious to see politicians fulfil their promises.

It's time to discuss and plan for growth that will alter people's lives, he added, adding that we need to keep talking about leaders.

President Ruto spoke at a multifaith prayer session held at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos Town, Machakos County.

The president urged leaders to band together and cooperate to address the issues affecting Kenyans.

"We must come together so that we can plan and carry out plans and programs that will transform our country and change Kenyans' lives," he said.  

The president stated that the nation's water crisis is a priority for the government.

President Ruto assured residents of Ukambani that the government would finish the area's stalled water projects.

He declared that water is one of our top priorities, not just in Ukambani but throughout the nation.


Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Cabinet Secretaries Peninah Malonza (Tourism), Florence Bore (Labor), and Rebeca Miano (EAC and ASALs), Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti, and MPs led by majority leader Kimani Ichungwa were all in attendance.
