The Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua says that approximately 3,000 Kenyans have become stuck in Sudan due to the escalating war. The cs say that Kenyans have been forced to lock themselves in their residences and request assistance to come home.

Mutua indicated on Sunday at a government Thanksgiving celebration in Machakos that plans to transport Kenyans back home are underway. They are also in talks with Kenya Airways, which is ready to take off.

According to the CS, Sudan has a significant problem, and he is monitoring the situation. He also stated that Kenya has approximately 3,000 Kenyans trapped in Sudan, and they are afraid to leave their homes.

He went on to say that he wants Kenyans to know that they are united, have spoken with Kenya Airways, and are prepared to send Kenyans home if things go out of hand.

CS Mutua advised Kenyan citizens to permanently register with the Embassies in their diaspora countries, as this allows for simple contact and response if pandemonium arises.

He added that Wherever you are, whenever you go overseas, please register with the Embassy because you don't know what will happen. Those who have already registered, we are in touch with them, and we have a problem finding those who didn't

Mutua says that they will give a number so that if kenyans have family in Sudan, they can call.

On Saturday, Sudan's military clashed with the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) for control.

Sudan's Army General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan is said to have told Al Jazeera that the RSF attacked his home in the morning, sparking the bloodshed.

The RSF asserted control of the presidential palace, while the army asserted complete control of all airports.

President William Ruto has voiced grave concern over the escalating crisis, urging all parties involved in the military conflict to resolve their disputes peacefully.
