French national carrier Air France has honoured five top travel agents in the Country that have contributed to the Airline’s growth in East Africa as it marks five years of operations.
The travel agents include; Hemmingway’s Travel, BCD Travel, Elite Travel, Charleston Travel, and Turkenya Tours and Safaris.
In a statement, Air France-KLM Regional Manager Marius van der Ham said collaborating with the travel agents over the years has been a significant part of their success.
" Moving forward, we want to be an easy-to-do business. He added that we have since upgraded our information system dubbed business solutions to give our trade agents all the information they need to position Air-France KLM as the go-to Airline,” he added.
Further, the Airline also introduced a new business solutions portal to provide travellers with a seamless, real-time, end-to-end travel experience.
The portal provides travellers with relevant travel information, from policies and procedures to the airline’s products and services. It is a major upgrade from its AgentConnect.biz portal.
On her part, Air-France KLM Country Sales Manager Hildabeta Amiani noted that the Airline is excited to launch a platform that improves customer service flexibility, convenience, and user empowerment.
“We promise and commit to continue innovating and adapting technology to better your flying experience,” Amiani added.
Additionally, the technology enables travel agencies to manage certain booking requests.
Incentives programmes, legal notices, and regulations regarding luggage, children's travel, flight schedules and delays are just a few of the other pieces of information that may be accessible through the platform.
