The government has designated Friday, April 21, 2023, as a public holiday.
According to a gazette notice released on Wednesday by Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof. Kithure Kindiki, the public holiday will be to commemorate Idd-ul-Fitr.
"It is hereby declared for the benefit of the citizens that the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration, in use of the powers bestowed by section 2 (I) of the Public Holidays Act, declares Friday, April 21, 2023, to be a public holiday to commemorate Idd-ul-Fitr," read the notice.
