Sharon Otieno's murder trial, which includes former Migori Governor Okoth Obado, Micheal Oyamo, and Caspal Obiero, will be heard this year from July 17 to July 21.

This year's other hearing dates are July 24-28.

The murder case against the three will be heard by Justice Cecelia Githua, who has been relocated to Muranga station.

During the case mentioned on Wednesday, the judge urged the parties to work with the court to conclude the issue.

"....It appears that I am unlucky... I'm back on it; I thought I'd be free of it after my transfer..."

"But that's okay; we'll pick up where we left off," Justice Githua added.

The defence informed the court that 18 witnesses have yet to appear in the case, which has already seen 24 witnesses testify.

In the case, three people have been charged with murdering Sharon Otieno and her unborn child.
