According to Alfred Mutua, Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Kenya has offered to send a team of police officers to Haiti to aid the country in combatting a reign of terror imposed by gangs on citizens.
On Saturday, CS Mutua spoke with Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly on the situation in Haiti.
"We reviewed the situation in Haiti, where gangs have made towns and people's lives unbearable." Kenya has promised to send police officers to help stabilise the country. "CS Mutua stated on Twitter, "is one of the nations leading the way in supporting Haiti's transition to stability,"
CS Mutua also stated that the Sudan problem was discussed on Saturday and that Kenya has offered to intervene between Sudan's two warring factions.

"We both called for an immediate ceasefire and respect for #HumanRights, and we asked countries undermining Sudan's peace and stability to stop immediately," CS Mutua said on Twitter.
"We also agreed to help each other with the evacuation of our citizens."
At the same time, Mutua added that the Kenya-Canada relationship would allow Kenyans to work in Canada while also opening up mutual investment potential for both countries.
He added that they are already adjusting their TVET curriculum to meet the Canadian labour market so that Kenyan graduates will be able to qualify for immediate placement in Canada and that they are eager not only to attract Canadian investors to Kenya but also to open up the Canadian market for Kenyan value-added products.
