Sudan's Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have confirmed their complete dedication to the 72-hour ceasefire to allow emergency assistance to reach those in need.

The RSF, on the other hand, has accused the Sudanese army of breaking the agreement by assaulting Khartoum with jets.

According to the RSF, this is a blatant breach of the ceasefire agreement and evidence of multiple decision-making centres among the coup armed forces and remnants of the previous administration.

In a news release, the RSF encouraged the Sudanese army to follow the truce and its conditions to alleviate the suffering of people caught up in the war.

The RSF has also urged the global community to pressure the Sudanese army to follow the agreement's provisions.

The shacky 72-hour ceasefire agreed upon on both sides came when a ship carrying 1,687 refugees from more than 50 nations escaping violence in Sudan docked in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, according to the foreign ministry, marking the Gulf kingdom's greatest evacuation attempt to date.

Since war erupted in Africa's third-largest country on April 15, Saudi Arabia has welcomed numerous rounds of refugees by air and sea as part of what analysts see as an effort to establish itself as a significant actor in reacting to regional crises.

The ministry included 13 Saudis, the remainder coming from the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

The Indonesian foreign ministry reported that 560 Indonesians had been successfully relocated from Sudan to Saudi Arabia. However, it was unclear whether they were on the same boat that arrived in Jeddah on Wednesday morning.

Kenya has plans to evacuate 300 of its citizens who were working and studying in the country. According to numbers released by UN agencies on Tuesday, at least 459 people have been killed and over 4,000 have been injured.

A three-day ceasefire arranged by the US between the warring generals brought calm to the city. Still, eyewitnesses reported fresh air strikes and paramilitaries claiming control of a key oil refinery and power facility.
