A large police force has been stationed in sections of Nairobi in preparation for the anticipated resumption of Azimio la Umoja anti-government rallies.
Waza news conducted a spot check on Tuesday morning and discovered anti-riot police stationed at Nairobi's main entry and exit points, that is including the Uhuru Highway - Haile Selassie Avenue crossroads, areas of Ngara, and near G.P.O.
Along Ngong Road, police were similarly seen at Prestige Mall areas and the Junction Mall.
Roadblocks were also on all roads leading to the State House, with police personnel stationed on streets like Dennis Pritt.
On the other hand, protesters in Kisumu have already begun blocking roads with stones and setting bonfires.

Despite President William Ruto and the police refusing to allow Azimio to take to the streets, coalition leader Raila Odinga vowed that the protests would continue.
Odinga stated that the opposition peacefully and unarmed exercised its constitutional right to congregate, demonstrate, picket, and present petitions to public authorities.
He also said they would deliver petitions to four government offices on Tuesday to pressure President William Ruto's administration to comply with their demands.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Nairobi Regional Police Commander Adamson Bungei said that Azimio had not exhibited goodwill in prior demonstrations, making them unfit to stage another protest.
President Ruto, for his part, has vowed to use all of his powers to prevent the planned protests from devolving into chaos and violence.
