Followers of Malindi's controversial pastor Ezekiel Odero are praying outside the courts where he is scheduled to appear.
Odero acknowledged the death of only 15 of its members through his lawyers.
This comes only hours after Rhoda Mumbua Maweu, Paul Nthenge Makenzie's wife, was apprehended after being on the run for weeks. Maweu was captured around 8 p.m. on Monday at her hiding at Mtwap, according to a regional security officer.
Bishop Pius Muiru of Maximum Miracle Center has stated that he and other spiritual leaders support Pastor Ezekiel, whom he describes as a clean man. Muiru has said they oppose making misleading connections between Pastor Ezekiel, who works in the open, and Paul Mackenzie, who works in the forest.

Bishop Muiru says he has been with pastor Ezekiel virtually every day and is not resentful about anyone. Still, he has sent him to remind those praying for him to keep praying for justice, not just for him, but for anyone whose rights may be violated.
On Tuesday, a court in Malindi temporarily released his counterpart, fellow televangelist controversial figure Pastor Paul Mackenzie. However, the pastor was quickly re-arrested to face new charges at the Shanzu High Court.
Despite the prosecution asking for 90 days to complete their investigations, Malindi court senior magistrate Ivy Wasike granted bail to Mackenzie and his six co-accused.
Following the prosecution's closure of the miscellaneous application, the accused will be taken to the Shanzu law courts to face charges under the Terrorism Act.
Pastor ezekiel has hired two famous lawyers, danstan omari and Cliff Ombeta, to represent him in court. After visiting their client, Cliff ombeta said that the state does not have enough evidence linking his client to the deaths in the shakahola massacre.
They urged the courts to reject the request by the police to hold the televangelist for 30 days as they had requested.
