In a statement read by Martha Karua, Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka's security detail had been withdrawn a thing she termed as illegal. Through their official Twitter account, ODM Party has stated that the security detail of more Azimio members has been withdrawn and that includes mama Ida Odinga's too.

In their final meeting on Tuesday, 2, 2023, the ODM Party Leader and the opposition leader, Raila Amolo Odinga, came out to issue an evening statement concerning the police officers. This follows what he says they allegedly did to one of his cars during today's demonstrations.
As seen from his Facebook page, the ODM party leader said that the police destroyed their media vehicle within Nairobi. Odinga went further to clarify that the car was destroyed when the police were lobbing teargas at a petrol station for an unknown reason.
This is the second time Azimio's car is getting destroyed. During the last maandamano, the same thing happened to the same car.
On the other hand, unknown goons at Juja Road today in the morning set a trailer and a bus on fire. Later, the said goons invaded a petrol station and took away some goods, including petrol gas. Today's demonstrations failed to match the previous one as there has been no coverage by some media houses.
On the issue of goons, Karua said the hired goons were principally from the Kikuyu community. According to Martha, the goons are the same people responsible for the Northlands Farm belonging to Former President Uhuru Kenyatta as well as Jubilee headquarters.
