According to the New York Post, the manager, 52-year-old David Neal, made a copy of the key card and snuck inside the hotel room at Nashville's 4th Avenue South Hilton. The hotel night manager was sentenced to prison for sneaking into a guest room and sucking on his toes while sleeping.
The guest told Nashville police he woke up with Neal's tongue around his toes and immediately confronted him. He said that Neal was one of the employees who came to his room the day before to repair his television.
To the cops, Neal admitted to entering the visitor's room but did not mention sucking his toes. He claimed to have done so to ensure the guest's safety after smelling smoke.
However, according to the police, he never disclosed the smell of smoke to hotel security, and no other hotel customers or personnel reported smelling smoke.

The police also stated that they had yet to locate the room key card Neal used to enter the hotel room. On Friday, he was arrested at his house in Lebanon and charged with aggravated burglary and assault.
'The safety and security of our guests and team members is our utmost priority,' stated hotel management in a separate statement.
'We are working closely with the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, and we do not comment on ongoing investigations as a matter of business policy.'
