Televangelist Pastor Ezekiel has filed an 86-page petition in the Mombasa High Court seeking orders to fully open his church and declare the government's actions as an infringement on the rights of the faithful.

His lawyers, Cliff Ombeta, Danstan Omari, and Jared Magolo, accused the Director-General of the Communication Authority of Kenya, Ezra Chiloba, of taking part in illegality by closing his TV station.

Pastor Ezekiel alleges that the national government's actions are unconstitutional schemes aimed at bringing him down through ulterior motives.

After being released on bond with the help of his lawyers, Pastor Ezekiel Azimio la Umoja received a visit from One Kenya Alliance party leader and former prime minister Raila Odinga at his home. Raila broke his silence on the issue, stating that there was no unauthorized business in the church.

Despite the closure of his church, Pastor Ezekiel has resumed business as usual, stating that he has already lost over 20 million due to the government's actions.
