The Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) is questioning eight police personnel involved in a fatal shooting incident in Kisumu on Tuesday.
According to Kisumu County Police Commander Alphonse Wambua, the cops were locked up yesterday, and IPOA officers have already taken up the case this morning.
The policemen were produced for statement taking today at the IPOA Kisumu offices, where they will await the next steps in the investigation.
Meanwhile, the two other male victims admitted to Kisumu County Hospital underwent a successful operation to remove the bullets trapped in their bodies.
The other patient, a 32-year-old man hospitalized at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital, is likewise stable after a similar treatment and removing one bullet head from his body.

The deceased girl's family, a student at Simeru mixed secondary school, is also awaiting the results of a postmortem examination at the Kisumu County hospital where the body is being kept.
