The Mombasa law courts have rejected the request to release 16 bank accounts belonging to Pastor Ezekiel Odero and his church. Kenya.co.ke reports that the accounts will remain frozen as further investigations are conducted. This development comes as a major setback for Pastor Ezekiel, who had hoped for the accounts to be unfrozen and functioning. His previous appeals to his followers to continue making offerings will now prove ineffective.

The investigation into the bank accounts stems from alleged connections between Pastor Ezekiel and Pastor Mackenzie. The news worsens Ezekiel's situation as he maintains his innocence and presents his arguments before the court.

Ezekiel Odero and his church are facing a setback as the Mombasa law courts have declined to unfreeze 16 bank accounts owned by him. The accounts are under investigation due to their alleged connection to Pastor Mackenzie. This news deals a blow to Ezekiel, who vehemently asserts his innocence in court.

On Monday last week, the Shanzu Law court issued a major blow to Pastor Ezekiel Odero by granting the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) a request to freeze his 15 bank accounts for a duration of 30 days.

According to detectives who presented their case to the court, Pastor Ezekiel's bank accounts have been receiving substantial transactions believed to be proceeds from the illegal currency obtained from victims allegedly coerced into selling their homes, giving the money to Pastor Mackenzie.
