Tensions are high in the Loruk district of Baringo North after bandits raided, shooting, and critically injuring one individual.
Over 300 cows were driven away from Tiaty's Paka Hills.
The heavily armed criminals struck around 12 p.m. on Wednesday while the cows were grazing. They began shooting indiscriminately, causing herders to flee.
Police who confronted the thieves in a gun battle were defeated as the criminals fled with the booty.
