According to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, the Kenya Kwanza administration intends to grow the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) into the country's largest political party, ruling for the next 100 years.
Mr Gachagua, speaking to UDA grassroots coordinators in Nairobi, said the party sought to recruit members from the strongholds of Azimio leader Raila Odinga.
The deputy head of state said they have spread across the country, and their party is now in every corner of the country. Their goals are grander, and they intend to grow the party to encompass the Nyanza region and other areas. That the UDA is a vast party that will rule for 100 years
He has also criticized Odinga and ruled out a handshake, stating that the administration will allow the opposition to participate in governance.

"When we talk about shares, we're talking about governance." President William Ruto will not appoint anyone who opposed his candidacy. He will only select those who have supported him and clearly understand his objectives.
"They understand the bottom-up economic model better than those who did not support him," he asserted.
During the event, Mr Gachagua officially welcomed former Migori Governor Okoth Obado into the UDA party. Mr Obado committed to spearheading the party's recruitment effort in Nyanza.
According to Cleopas Malala, the party's secretary-general, the UDA hopes to attract up to 15 million members before the next General Election.
"We will begin with a recruitment drive in Siaya before expanding to other parts of the country." We will create a solid party to which everyone belongs, and we will have over 15 million members by the next general election," Mr Malala said.
The ruling party plans to undertake grassroots elections and launch several offices nationwide in early June.
