The Jubilee Party, under Uhuru Kenyatta, has announced new appointments to its National Executive Council (NEC) board.

During a National Delegates Conference (NDC) held on Monday at the Ngong Racecourse, Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni stated that the party decided to make the changes after observing that some of its members had proven to be unfaithful to the party.

Kioni reported that an NEC meeting was called on April 28, 2023, but the board members still need to attend.

Kioni stated that at that meeting, they decided the roles should be filled by loyal, faithful, and trustworthy members supporting the party's goals.

"They hold the positions, and they have demonstrated that their loyalty is not with us, but with others," he explained.

According to Kioni, the departing members have shifted their allegiance to other parties, resigned from their seats, or been nominated to other committees.

The departing NEC members are Joshua Kuttuny, Jimmy Angwenyi, Naomi Shaban, Nelson Nzuya, Mutava Musymi, and Kanini Kega.

Kioni further stated that all party members who advocated the ideals of other parties had been deregistered from the party membership roll and that the Jubilee Party was still a constituent member of the Azimio la Umona Coalition Political Party.
