President William Ruto has urged politicians to unite the country rather than split it. He called it regressive for some politicians to exacerbate societal division and disarray.
"We need to think as a nation." "We can disagree without causing harm to our country," he remarked. He said he was open to hearing other points of view that would enhance and propel Kenya ahead.
On Sunday, he addressed an interfaith Thanksgiving celebration in Busia Stadium, Busia County. President Ruto stated that leaders must strive to collaborate because "elections are over."
"It is time to uplift the underprivileged," he said again. He stated that the Housing Program would revolutionize the country by creating thousands of job possibilities.

"It is our business to make the youth earn a living." He promised to turn the County's fortunes around by revitalizing its agriculture.
He regretted that the area is among Kenya's poorest, despite having enormous economic potential. "We have a plan; we will add value to agriculture and cut out middlemen to make farming profitable," the President added.
He continued that border towns like Malaba and Busia will also have their infrastructure renovated to improve traffic flow and cross-border business. Governor Paul Otuoma promised to collaborate with the government to improve the livelihood of the people of Busia.
"We must make Busia the East African gateway." "This is how we will combat poverty in our country," he noted. He requested that the government intervene and assist in restructuring the Boda Boda business to eliminate the shylocks that are choking the sector.
The Governor of Busia, who has proclaimed his support for President Ruto, has called on the Opposition to step back and play a constructive part in Kenya's development. "Let us put our energy into driving our country's economic growth," he suggested.

Former Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong, former Attorney General Amos Wako, former Westlands MP Fred Gumo, and former Busia Woman Representative Florence Mutua were present at the event.
They all came together to support the government. "President Ruto was duly elected. The Opposition should stop its theatrics," said Mr Gumo.
