Seth Panyako, Vice Chairperson of the embattled United Democratic Alliance (UDA), has stated that President William Ruto told him to leave the ruling political party.

This comes after Panyako resigned from the party on Saturday, citing the Kenya Kwanza government's failure to keep pledges made to Kenyans during the campaign time.

In a news conference on Tuesday, Panyako claimed that his departure from the party was imposed on him by the top brass and that how it was handled violated both party rules and the law.

He said he should have been summoned by the party's disciplinary committee, which should have outlined his infractions before enabling him to explain himself and make a judgment.

Panyako said that On Friday, at about 7:20 p.m., the President called and asked why he opposed the housing levy. He told him that because he leads workers, the most important thing to him is to stand by them. The average Kenyan

he added that the President and other people, such as Malala, were pressuring him to kick him out of UDA for opposing government policies and that he had to leave the UDA party.

Despite his public declaration, Panyako maintains that he is still the UDA party Vice Chairperson until he formally submits his resignation to the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP), which would then disclose a new leadership structure.

He also dismissed a Saturday social media post by UDA Secretary General Cleophas Malala that claimed he was never even a party official following his statement.

Seth said that he would write to the Registrar of Political Parties tomorrow to request an extract outlining the new leadership of the UDA, and then he will write to confirm his resignation.

"In Kenya, we have yellow political parties with no institutional systems." When the party's owner dislikes you, he can kick you out." he added

Panyako also denied allegations that he quit the party after being passed over for Cabinet jobs saying that he resigned to uphold his life principles.
