Police officers from locations with an upsurge in insecurity have also been reassigned, according to Nakuru County Commissioner Lyford Kibara, who verified the arrests.
The moves affect the 'Kwa Rhonda police station OCS and numerous other officers who have been there for a while.
Chiefs and their aides, including the Nyumba kumi leadership, will be obliged to provide information that could lead to the arrest of suspected gang members in the future, according to Mr Kibara.
