Students from the Technical University of Mombasa have gone on strike over what they term as an unfair increment of tuition fees.
The students cause unrest burning a section of the school. According to a notice issued to comrades from the board, they want to meet with the universities vice chancellor and will not talk with any other representative.
The students alleged that the tuition fees increased by Ksh9,000 from Ksh19,000 to Ksh28,000 per semester.
